What's in this Platform

Once you have registered on the platform by choosing a log-in name and a password, you will be enabled to apply all of its functions and options: downloading and uploading documents from the documentation centre, sending and receiving private messages to/from the other registered members (Peer Reviewers), participating in the Forum, checking out the calendar of activities, and looking at the profile of the other Peer Reviewers.

Every time there is a new item or message posted on the platform you will receive a notification in your e-mail account, and by clicking on the web link, the platform page will open. New items that have been recently posted can be visualized on a small square on the top right of the home page.

The core section of this web platform is the documentation centre where you can find and download files classified according to the following four categories:

  1. LER L&P Guides, which are the drafts of the Guides posted by the Project Team and by the Peer Reviewers with their comments and inputs. Remember that the circulation of these drafts is to be kept among the network of Peer Reviewers.
  2. In the Library you will find reading materials such as publications and manuals on topics that are relevant to LER, as well as lessons learnt and best practices from the field.
  3. Tools are operational instruments that practitioners apply across the management of their project activities. They may include survey instruments, decision-making instruments, templates (e.g. for the design of work plans, the drafting of reports), sensitization and awareness raising instruments (including sample agendas of meetings/events).
  4. Project-related documents include a wide range of technical-cooperation documentation produced by field-based staff. This category includes, among others: project documents, progress reports, mission reports, work plans and logical frameworks,  and monitoring & evaluation reports.

If you wish to share relevant files with the other Peer Reviewers, you can upload them.

The Private Messages  section gives you the opportunity to interact on an individual basis with the other Peer Reviewers.

The Forum will be the virtual space where specific topics of common interest are discussed and views are exchanged. You can suggest topics by sending a private message to the administrators who will launch them on the platform and invite the other Peer Reviewers to participate.

The Calendar records all major LER L&P project activities and deadlines, as well as meetings and events that are to a certain extent related to the project. Being managed by the web-platform administrators, the calendar cannot be directly modified by you. Hence, if you wish to notify about an event or an activity to all other Peer Reviewers, you should send a message to the administrators who will post the event/activity in the calendar according to its relevance to the platform.

The section Profiles contains the biographies, personal information and contacts (office telephone number, e-mail address and Skype if any) of the Peer Reviewers.
