Immediate objective: to provide practitioners of UN and non-UN organizations with a learning package comprising instruments, services and a virtual space on how to best implement LER
Outputs:
o LER Guidebook (one LER Reader and six Guides from assessment to planning, implementation and monitoring)
o Community of practice & virtual space (the peer reviewers web platform is the embryonic stage of the platform for the community of practice)
o A Training of trainers course delivered annually at the ITC
o Annual international seminar to disseminate lessons learnt and facilitate networking
Target beneficiaries: Field-based practitioners from implementing partners at country/local level such as UN agencies, INGOs, NGOs and CBOs (INCLUDING: programme and project designers/planners, programme managers and coordinators, promoters and implementers)
Activities:
o development of Guides (ongoing)
o set up, launch and animation of the web platform for Peer Reviewers (ongoing)
o field-testing (upcoming, candidate countries: DRC, Sudan and Sierra Leon)
o Field-based Validation of the LER Learn&Practice Package (2-3 countries)
o Feedbacks and revision of the LER Learn&Practice Package
o Design and delivery of Training of Trainers (for peer reviewers)
o Training of field-based practitioners (by trainers)
o Design and implementation of LER programmes by trained practitioners
o 1st Annual Seminar (with field-based practitioners)
